Responsibilities
- Design, build, optimize, and standardize Kubernetes-native platforms, CI/CD pipelines, self-service infrastructure, and deployment automation.
- Define reliability standards, SLAs, SLOs, observability, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, capacity planning, and disaster recovery practices.
- Architect and manage multi-cluster GitOps application delivery, configuration management, environment provisioning, deployment governance, and release controls using ArgoCD.
- Design, deploy, and operate production Kubernetes clusters across EKS, AKS, GKE, or equivalent cloud environments.
- Lead Kubernetes lifecycle management, including upgrades, autoscaling, networking, ingress, storage, workload isolation, security, and cost optimization.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, platform governance, compliance, and operational controls in partnership with Security and Engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, lead architecture discussions, define platform roadmaps, and collaborate with globally distributed stakeholders.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture, enterprise-scale cluster operations, Docker, cloud platforms, and cloud-native architecture.
- Proven experience implementing GitOps with ArgoCD and operating large-scale production Kubernetes platforms.
- Expertise with Kubernetes tooling including Helm, Kustomize, kubectl, cluster APIs, and platform engineering frameworks.
- Experience with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code technologies, Kubernetes migrations, modernization, and cloud-native transformation.
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, logging, production operations, security, compliance, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, or New Relic.
- Experience developing automation and operational tooling with Python, Shell, Go, or similar technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, root cause analysis, stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across EMEA and US regions and supporting business-critical operations across time zones.
