Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Build and operate cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes on at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Develop production services primarily in Golang and/or Java.
- Review and debug code while enforcing secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and validation standards.
- Drive reusable engineering patterns, automation of recurring issue remediation, and improvements to operational stability and delivery efficiency.
- Evaluate architectural designs and technical fit with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools, including code review, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis use cases.
- Coach engineers on validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, security, data sensitivity, and compliance.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including practical Java and/or Golang development experience.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and practical cloud-native experience.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting expectations for validating their outputs.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Spec Drive Development experience, strong AI-tool fluency, and prior understanding of Cloud Governance are preferred.
