Responsibilities
- Own delivery of complex features or components from design through production.
- Drive system architecture and component-design discussions for the area of ownership.
- Partner with Product, UX, and engineering teams to shape solutions during planning.
- Align with senior engineers on shared technical decisions across the organization.
- Identify patterns and improvements that increase quality and delivery velocity.
- Conduct peer code reviews and help establish the team quality bar.
- Champion exploratory and AI-assisted testing practices.
- Mentor and support the ramp-up and growth of Associate and Software Engineers.
- Proactively surface risks, ambiguity, and open questions during planning and design.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, microservices, and Kafka messaging.
- Experience owning complex features end-to-end in frontend or backend systems.
- Familiarity with a public cloud provider such as Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.
- Experience with agentic platforms such as Microsoft Foundry, Agent Core, Google Vertex, or Bedrock.
- Hands-on professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf, or similar.
- Experience informally mentoring or supporting junior engineers is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction and take ownership of complex or ambiguous assignments.
