Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead team adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices and establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs.
- Use software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering delivery.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
- Lead vendor, startup, and internal technology evaluation sessions focused on architecture and applicability.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and promote adoption of emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Proficiency with AWS services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and RDS.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience and advanced proficiency in one or more of Python, Go, Java, or Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery, and all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of agile delivery, application resiliency, security, package management, GraphQL, and monitoring tools is preferred.
- Preferred experience with JFrog Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, NPM, PyPI, NuGet, Docker, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
