Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus.
- Build asynchronous and event-driven services using Kafka.
- Implement and consume REST and gRPC APIs for internal and external integrations.
- Design processing flows with retries, error handling, and observability.
- Work with PostgreSQL-compatible and distributed SQL databases and perform schema migrations.
- Write unit, integration, and API tests and contribute to code quality standards.
- Participate in incident troubleshooting and continuous reliability improvement.
Requirements
- Require 4–6 years of backend engineering experience and strong Java fundamentals.
- Require hands-on Spring Boot experience for microservice development.
- Require experience with microservices and REST API development.
- Require practical knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Require working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Require experience with Liquibase or equivalent migration tooling.
- Require familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift basics.
- Require experience with automated testing, including JUnit and API testing tools.
- Preferred qualifications include Quarkus, gRPC, Apache Camel, Cucumber, Testcontainers, and banking, payments, or financial-services domain exposure.
