Base Salary

$125k - $203k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and maintain real-time 6DOF GNC simulations for missile and flight-vehicle applications in HWIL environments.
  • Implement guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, missile dynamics, subsystem behavior, and engagement scenarios.
  • Support hardware initialization and control, data handling, analysis, visualization, and simulation execution.
  • Perform engineering analysis and system performance studies using simulation outputs.
  • Build simulation workflows for configuration management, automated scenario execution, data capture, and regression support.
  • Create tools to run scenarios, log and process results, and generate engineering reports and presentations.
  • Develop and integrate software in Linux environments using command-line compilation and remote connectivity.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, and test teams to translate requirements into simulation capabilities and verification coverage.
  • Present technical concepts, findings, and recommendations to engineering teams and customer technical working groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Engineering; Aerospace Engineering is preferred but not required.
  • At least five years of engineering experience related to programming, simulation development, or system performance analysis.
  • Strong C and C++ development experience, preferably in Linux environments.
  • Working knowledge of real-time simulations in hardware-in-the-loop environments.
  • Experience with engineering analysis and simulation-based performance assessment.
  • Knowledge of flight-vehicle dynamics, subsystem functions, 6DOF execution concepts, physics-based simulation, and numerical methods.
  • Working knowledge of Linux command-line operations, compilation, and remote system connectivity.
  • Experience using version control tools such as Git.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and on multidisciplinary teams.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required.
  • Experience with Common Simulation Framework, RedHawk Linux or other real-time Linux environments, technical reporting, MATLAB, SIMDIS, missile simulation, flight-dynamics modeling, GNC algorithm development, automated test execution, data reduction, or simulation-result visualization is preferred.
