Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement globally available distributed cloud architectures.
  • Develop core ETL framework capabilities for data from more than 50 producers and dozens of consumers.
  • Own schema evolution across Iceberg, Glue Registry, and DataZone while enforcing platform patterns.
  • Define reference architectures, templates, blueprints, infrastructure standards, and data-quality frameworks.
  • Partner with domain and consumer teams across Amazon Leo Commerce, Networking, and Satellite organizations.
  • Own operational excellence through monitoring, alarming, dead-letter queue and retry handling, and incident root-cause analysis.
  • Participate in technical strategy, charter expansion, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
