Responsibilities
- Determine feature requirements with project managers, technical leads, and other stakeholders.
- Design and implement extensible, maintainable code for products, services, and features.
- Review code for quality, reliability, accuracy, scalability, security, privacy, and accessibility.
- Check compliance evidence and assess the implications of onboarding new technologies.
- Work as a Designated Responsible Individual to monitor services for degradation, downtime, and interruptions.
- Respond to incidents within SLA timeframes, alert stakeholders, obtain restoration approval for simple issues, and escalate problems to appropriate owners.
- Architect and implement solutions while guiding others and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: at least one year of experience with Azure services, Microsoft Entra ID authentication, App Services, Functions, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, and Azure DevOps.
- Preferred: experience with backend or middle-tier software design and development.
- Preferred: experience deploying, monitoring, and operating cloud services.
- Preferred: a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Benefits
- U.S. base pay is listed at USD $102,100–$202,200 per year, with a different range for specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
