Base Salary
$197k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Understand the needs of Roblox creators, from beginning artists to professional scripters and designers.
- Design, build, test, and deploy services within the Roblox ecosystem.
- Build cloud-native agentic AI infrastructure for model serving, orchestration, routing, tool execution, and long-running workflows.
- Develop systems for planning, code generation, asset creation, automated testing, structured evaluation, reliability, and observability.
- Provide technical leadership on code quality, architecture, tradeoffs, and long-term planning.
- Develop and mentor fellow engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping high-complexity software and supporting mission-critical applications at scale.
- Experience architecting, designing, and leading implementation across a wide range of software products and systems.
- Experience building AI infrastructure for model serving, orchestration, reliability, and production observability.
- Familiarity with agentic systems and multi-step execution loops involving planning, tool use, recovery, and long-running workflows.
- Understanding of AI tools, skills, evaluation frameworks, reliable tool interfaces, capability coverage, and structured quality measurement.
- Expertise with component-based libraries and frameworks and building performant, high-quality user experiences.
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL systems at scale.
- Deep understanding of modern large-scale infrastructure and the ability to evaluate tradeoffs, recommend pragmatic solutions, and align engineers around a direction.
