Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end system design, implementation, and product integration for intelligent agents.
- Design and scale AI orchestration architectures, including multi-agent frameworks, routing layers, and advanced RAG pipelines.
- Integrate large and foundation models and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
- Implement guardrails, governance, privacy, predictability, explainability, and security layers for autonomous agents.
- Optimize latency, cost, token usage, context-window efficiency, reliability, and user interaction design.
- Prototype, benchmark, and automate evaluation of model outputs, retrieval quality, and agentic behavior.
- Technically lead engineering workstreams, own development lifecycles, and mentor junior-to-mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience with backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design plus 1+ year building production-grade LLM or agentic systems, or 5+ years in Machine Learning Engineering or AI application development with 2+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience integrating LLMs, foundation models, and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
- At least 1 year designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures.
- At least 4 years optimizing application performance and at least 1 year applying LLM-specific optimization techniques.
- At least 4 years of experience using cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP to deploy scalable systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with responsible AI governance, guardrails, evaluation mechanisms, system design, reusable application layers, experimentation, and technical leadership.
Benefits
- Annualized base salary ranges are listed as $186,000-$278,000 for Atlanta and $176,000-$312,000 for additional US locations, excluding bonus, commission, and stock grants.
- Flexible work model requiring at least half (50%) of each quarter spent in the office or in the field, with remote home-office roles also able to attend important office gatherings.
