Responsibilities
- Own and drive the PriceStream test strategy, quality roadmap, test plans, and release closure reporting.
- Lead end-to-end testing delivery and sign-off across releases in partnership with technical program management, development, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Architect, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber-JVM, SQL, and Maven.
- Define and lead FIX protocol testing across pricing, quote, and order workflows.
- Lead server-side, API, integration, functional, regression, database, infrastructure, deployment, load, stress, and fault-tolerance testing.
- Participate in production deployments, post-release validation, and root-cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions.
- Use Docker and Kubernetes to support test environment setup and automation, including AWS Viking cloud infrastructure validation.
- Mentor QA engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical leadership on automation practices.
- Champion shift-left quality, influence system design for testability, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
- 8+ years of QA automation experience, including team or technical leadership.
- Strong knowledge of QA processes and best practices, with experience defining and implementing test strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber-JVM, SQL, and Maven.
- Experience with API, GUI, database, server-side, backend, integration, infrastructure, and deployment testing.
- Deep hands-on experience testing the FIX protocol and proven ownership of testing delivery across cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience supporting production deployments and leading root-cause analysis of production issues.
- Experience architecting automation frameworks and building mocks and simulator components for isolated test environments.
- Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes and experience with AWS Viking cloud environments.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, influence across teams, and understand technical architecture.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Preferred experience with Kafka messaging, FX trading or financial technology, distributed systems, performance bottlenecks, and financial markets.
