Base Salary
$90k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software components and applications using JavaScript, Python, C#, appropriate development standards, and related tools.
- Analyze business, stakeholder, functional, technical, and non-functional requirements and maintain traceability through design and test cases.
- Create scripts and automated solutions for repetitive tasks, deployment processes, and other CI/CD or testing activities.
- Prepare and execute test cases, perform regression testing, track defects, and conduct root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Conduct application maintenance, re-engineering, monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Support Unix and Linux systems, cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure, application onboarding, alerting integrations, and knowledge transfer to application teams.
- Use monitoring, logging, and program metrics to identify trends, prevent incidents, evaluate changes, and support continuous improvement.
- Develop and analyze Informix and MySQL database queries to extract and manipulate data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field plus two years of software engineering or related experience, or an equivalent master's degree.
- Experience supporting Unix and Linux systems and influencing system architecture and tactical solutions.
- Experience creating deployment automation and developing shell and Python scripts for repetitive manual tasks.
- Experience analyzing monitoring graphs and issues using Jira, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
- Experience integrating alerting tools with API endpoints using tools such as ServiceNow and GitHub.
- Experience onboarding applications to automation, supporting production systems, performing root-cause analysis, and transferring knowledge to application teams.
- Experience supporting cloud technologies such as Cloud Native platforms and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience writing Informix and MySQL database queries; the employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
