Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manual and automated tests for UI, API, integration, smoke, regression, acceptance, and release validation workflows.
- Create test strategies, plans, cases, traceability, test data, test evidence, and risk-based coverage across product features.
- Execute tests, analyze results, validate fixes, monitor CI/CD runs, stabilize flaky tests, and support quality gates and release readiness.
- Log, triage, and investigate defects with detailed reproduction information while participating in root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria, identify risks and ambiguities, and collaborate with developers, architects, QA leads, and product managers.
- Maintain QA documentation, contribute to automation framework improvements, share testing practices with peers and junior QA engineers, and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or an equivalent field; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another STEM major is also specified.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in both manual and automation testing for enterprise-grade software products.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, industry-standard testing and bug-tracking tools, API and UI automation, and standard automation framework development.
- Expertise in at least one scripting language or tool, with Python preferred and JavaScript or other languages accepted.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD and experience with Jenkins, Rally, Azure DevOps, SQL queries, relational databases, Linux/Unix, QNX, and Windows environments.
- Experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases; driving quality through requirements and testing; and working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to communicate across management levels.
- ISTQB Test Analyst certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Railroad industry knowledge, CAD system knowledge, modern software tooling experience, distributed application infrastructure awareness, and basic knowledge of AI principles and LLM models are preferred.
