Responsibilities
- Own and drive the architectural direction for critical infrastructure platforms.
- Lead the design and evolution of large platforms and distributed systems.
- Serve as the technical authority on complex initiatives.
- Translate business and product strategy into long-term technical roadmaps.
- Drive alignment across engineering, product, and leadership.
- Establish technical standards and architectural patterns.
- Be accountable for production outcomes, including reliability and performance.
- Mentor senior engineers and act as a force multiplier.
- Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing large-scale platforms or distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Golang and/or Ruby.
- Strong architectural judgment balancing scalability, reliability, and cost.
- Experience owning platform-level technical decisions.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes-based environments.
- Experience being accountable for production systems.
- Ability to author and drive long-term technical strategy.
- Track record of leading through influence.
- Comfort making high-impact technical decisions.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts.
