Responsibilities
- Design and develop company-wide web applications, reusable software components, and libraries.
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of new software components.
- Build and maintain React-based theming solutions and a shared component library.
- Manage project activities related to software builds and deployments.
- Create and maintain software tests to ensure functionality and quality.
- Develop design documentation and identify opportunities to improve and optimize applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and implement interfaces from wireframes and prototypes.
- Support and mentor developers on JavaScript and web development concepts.
- Apply accessibility, quality, consistency, and software development standards across projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science; a graduate degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of advanced JavaScript and functional programming experience.
- At least 3 years of advanced CSS experience and 2 years of HTML5 experience.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with strong React and related library experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with functional programming and component-driven development.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX, responsive design, design systems, WCAG, and ARIA accessibility standards.
- Experience with Webpack, Vite, Babel, npm, Git, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independence, and judgment skills.
- Preferred experience maintaining shared component libraries or design systems, optimizing SPA performance, and using theming or CSS-in-JS solutions such as Styled Components or Emotion.
