Base Salary
$111k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site development and support for the Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment Family of Systems.
- Identify, de-conflict, and orchestrate integration of competing software branches.
- Refactor legacy Java and JavaScript code for efficiency and build modular, reusable software.
- Research existing systems and design new systems, configurations, integrations, and features.
- Troubleshoot Java code and recommend improvements to system functionality.
- Research, design, develop, and test hardware and software systems.
- Coordinate technical work across functional teams and support the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five or more years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
- Two or more years of experience in a systems engineering or software engineering role.
- Familiarity with C, C++, and Java, plus scripting languages such as Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of VMware vCenter or other virtualization platforms.
- Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes NIWC PAC or NIWC LANT initiatives, SSEE and Mission Module Integration Systems, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Confluence, DoD test and evaluation processes, DoD acquisition regulations and data rights, and end-to-end SDLC work.
