Responsibilities
- Design and maintain real-time distributed backend systems with low-latency request and response handling.
- Develop primarily in Java and maintain or refactor legacy Python codebases.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Work with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL databases.
- Use automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage system complexity, solve challenging technical problems, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with teammates and provide technical mentoring.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on professional backend software development experience.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining real-time distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong Java programming skills; candidates with C/C++, Scala, Ruby, Rust, or Go experience may be considered if willing to transition to Java.
- Experience maintaining and refactoring legacy Python codebases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and API integration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, ownership, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred: experience with Spring Framework and microservices architecture.
- Preferred: background with Apache Spark, Hive, Databricks, or similar data analytics and processing tools.
