Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot microservices, with growing exposure to Spring WebFlux and reactive programming.
- Deploy and support services on AWS infrastructure, including EKS, S3, SNS/SQS, and Lambda.
- Integrate services with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or Solr search backends.
- Write clean, well-tested code with unit and integration test coverage.
- Debug issues across services and infrastructure and participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Write Bash or Python utilities and scripts to support development and operational workflows.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, architecture discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Maintain documentation for designs, processes, and technical decisions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience with Java.
- Solid experience with Spring Boot and RESTful API design.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, software design patterns, and clean code principles.
- Experience debugging applications by reading logs, tracing errors, and diagnosing issues.
- Experience or familiarity with AWS services such as S3, SQS/SNS, Lambda, or EKS.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle, Docker, Git, and version control workflows.
- Awareness of CI/CD pipeline concepts and practices.
- Ability to communicate updates and resolutions to customers and partners and collaborate openly.
- Preferred: Spring WebFlux, reactive programming, Kubernetes, search technologies, Bash or Python scripting, Gatling, Apache Kafka, observability tools, distributed systems, and Agile/Scrum experience.
