Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Python, FastAPI and/or Django, ReactJS, and related technologies.
- Develop secure, scalable, maintainable, and documented RESTful services and integrations.
- Translate business and user requirements into technical designs, service interfaces, application components, and intuitive user experiences.
- Create sophisticated, responsive, accessible ReactJS interfaces and reusable components.
- Apply UX/UI principles, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, usability, consistency, and navigation improvements.
- Collaborate with product, business, design, architecture, quality assurance, data, and technology teams.
- Contribute to solution design, estimation, code reviews, testing, release planning, production support, and technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve defects, performance issues, integration challenges, usability concerns, security risks, and delivery dependencies.
- Apply secure engineering practices covering access control, data protection, authentication, authorization, validation, encryption, privacy, auditability, and secure API design.
- Take ownership of assigned work, communicate progress and risks, and deliver outcomes within agreed timelines.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of professional experience in full-stack development, software engineering, or a closely related role.
- Extensive hands-on engineering experience in asset management or the broader financial-services industry.
- Strong production Python development experience with FastAPI and/or Django and RESTful services.
- Expert frontend development experience with ReactJS and significant UX/UI design experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript; TypeScript experience is preferred.
- Experience delivering scalable, secure, production-ready technology solutions.
- Experience integrating applications and services with databases, including data modeling, querying, transactions, validation, indexing, and data integrity.
- Experience with unit, integration, frontend, API, automated regression, or other software testing practices.
- Understanding of cloud deployment and operations; experience with cloud services, storage, networking, monitoring, containers, orchestration, infrastructure automation, and continuous delivery is preferred.
- Experience with source control, pull requests, code reviews, defect tracking, build processes, documentation, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, role-based access, session management, secure data handling, application vulnerabilities, and financial-services security controls.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; relevant certifications or formal training are preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
