Lead Software Engineer - Java, Spring boot, Microservices , Real time application

- Provide technical guidance and direction to technical teams, contractors, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Design, develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Build low-latency, high-throughput APIs and scalable cloud-native and big data solutions.
- Use authorized AI capabilities for monitoring, capacity analysis, documentation, risk identification, and remediation workflow improvement while validating outputs.
- Contribute to engineering culture, technology adoption, diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 8+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with API gateways, Apache Kafka, Cassandra or other NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes for build management, deployment, and service support.
- Expertise with observability tools such as Splunk, Kibana, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
- Experience using authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows and validating AI-assisted recommendations for resiliency, security, auditability, and data sensitivity.
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with deep knowledge in at least one technical discipline.
- Ability to independently resolve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight and practical cloud-native experience.
- Exposure to big data ecosystems such as Databricks, EMR, and large-scale batch or stream-processing platforms.
- Preferred experience with AWS public cloud, Apache Spark, distributed data processing, large datasets, partitioning, performance tuning, and job reliability.
- Preferred proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and service or module development.
