Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of multi-quarter projects with minimal supervision.
- Research solutions to ambiguous problems and recommend technologies based on short- and long-term needs.
- Lead technical direction and priorities for projects with a small team of 3–4 engineers.
- Design and implement high-complexity features and deliver production-ready storage software for AI/ML workloads.
- Serve as a cross-functional point of contact and align objectives and timelines with adjacent teams.
- Develop subject-matter expertise and influence team members and partner teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with file systems and Linux kernel internals.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML workloads, cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, and open source.
