Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate full-stack capabilities spanning frontend experiences, backend services, and data pipelines.
- Build and scale Java and Python backend services and REST APIs with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Develop and operate distributed, high-throughput ingestion, streaming, and storage systems using Kafka and ClickHouse.
- Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot production services on Kubernetes and Docker.
- Develop performant, reusable frontend components using ReactJS or Angular with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Design and integrate AI-powered features and agentic workflows using LLMs, retrieval, and agent frameworks.
- Partner with product management, design, and engineering teams to take features from concept to production.
- Own instrumentation, observability, testing, and performance at scale, and participate in design and code reviews.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
- Proficiency in both Java and Python with hands-on experience designing and building REST APIs.
- Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience deploying and operating production services.
- Frontend experience with ReactJS or Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript, and HTML/CSS fundamentals.
- Experience designing distributed systems with scalability, fault tolerance, and messaging or streaming systems such as Kafka.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML, LLMs, AI agents, MCP, or agentic frameworks applied in production or product contexts.
- Working knowledge of data stores and pipelines; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud-native development practices.
- Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
