Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver creative software solutions for complex problems.
- Write secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and establish standards for validating AI outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, AI-assisted development capabilities, and automation to improve delivery and operational outcomes.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve operational stability.
- Lead evaluations of external vendors, startups, and internal teams, including architectural designs and technical credentials.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to team culture and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with applied experience, subject to local country guidance.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile development, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services and IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred: experience mentoring and developing engineering talent, familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools, and exposure to large-scale distributed systems.
