Responsibilities
- Design, architect, build, and deliver core services, microservices, and high-performance data pipelines using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL or other RDBMS technologies, and event-streaming patterns.
- Develop cloud, data, and platform engineering solutions on GCP using Dataflow, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, BigQuery or ClickHouse, and GKE.
- Establish engineering practices for API design, event-driven integration, data modeling, testing, CI/CD, operational readiness, and technical debt management.
- Collaborate through code reviews, pair debugging, performance tuning, production incident resolution, and engineering automation.
- Own monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, reliability improvements, cost optimization, and operational excellence for production workloads.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, lineage, and security controls across pipelines and downstream consumption.
- Coach and mentor engineers, communicate technical plans and milestones to senior stakeholders, and manage risks, dependencies, and delivery impediments.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on cloud technology experience and strong technical background, including proficiency in Python or Spark SQL.
- Advanced SQL skills, including data modeling, cloud storage mechanisms, and file formats such as Parquet and Iceberg.
- Experience with trunk-based development and deploying daily to production.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containers.
- Experience developing end-to-end DevOps pipelines for automated testing, regression, and deployments.
- Knowledge of accounting or ledger systems.
