Responsibilities
- Architect, design, build, and deliver Java and Spring Boot core services, microservices, and high-performance data pipelines to production.
- Design event-driven integrations and data models using Apache Spark, Apache Beam, relational databases, and cloud data services.
- Define engineering excellence practices for API design, testing, CI/CD, operational readiness, resilience, scalability, latency, observability, and security.
- Conduct code reviews, pair debugging, performance tuning, production incident resolution, and engineering automation.
- Operate production workloads through monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, reliability improvements, cost optimization, and data-quality controls.
- Coach and mentor engineers, manage technical debt, and communicate technical plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and mitigations to stakeholders.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on cloud technology experience and proficiency in Python or Spark SQL as a Spark-related language.
- Advanced SQL skills covering data modeling, cloud storage mechanisms, and file formats such as Parquet and Iceberg.
- Experience with trunk-based development and deploying daily to production.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containers.
- Experience developing end-to-end DevOps pipelines for automated testing, regression testing, and deployments.
- Knowledge of accounting or ledger systems.
