Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade GitHub Enterprise Server and developer collaboration platforms.
- Create scalable architecture patterns, technical roadmaps, governance standards, and modernization strategies for global development teams.
- Lead GitHub Enterprise Server deployment, configuration, administration, optimization, and enterprise integration.
- Architect high availability, disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, hybrid infrastructure, and Linux-based platform solutions.
- Perform infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, repository and usage analysis, growth forecasting, and scaling recommendations.
- Conduct health assessments and performance reviews across application, database, storage, network, and infrastructure layers.
- Establish monitoring, observability, operational KPIs, performance baselines, automation, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation for critical platform incidents.
- Advise engineering leaders, platform teams, and executives; lead technical workshops and architecture reviews.
- Mentor engineers, administrators, and architects and drive modern platform engineering practices that improve developer productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10–15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, platform engineering, or solution architecture roles.
- At least five years of deep, hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Server, including large-scale on-premises deployments.
- Expertise in platform sizing, capacity planning, usage analysis, growth forecasting, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Strong experience with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, load balancing technologies, storage architectures, high availability and disaster recovery design, and security and identity integrations.
- Experience supporting environments with thousands of users and large-scale repository footprints.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, consulting, advisory, and technical leadership skills.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise DevOps transformation, hybrid infrastructure architecture, software development lifecycle practices, CI/CD ecosystem integration, infrastructure automation, Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, performance diagnostics, observability platforms, monitoring tools, and global engineering organizations.
