Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory and risk-management needs.
- Develop and deploy proprietary, cloud-based solutions powered by AI technology in collaboration with GRC teams, product managers, architects, and cross-functional partners.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by establishing standards for design, development, coding, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and improve system performance.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, evaluate emerging tools, and influence long-term technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7 or more years coding in multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source contribution, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript framework experience, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, AI-based coding tools, mentoring, and leadership of large-scale technical initiatives.
- Experience establishing and enforcing coding standards and design patterns across teams is preferred.
