Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Enterprise Service Layer services and APIs.
- Develop REST APIs and microservices integrating digital applications with backend systems.
- Build and maintain integrations between digital applications and enterprise systems.
- Implement API validation, transformation, error handling, authentication, authorization, and logging.
- Troubleshoot API, integration, and production issues.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow API and development standards.
- Collaborate with Architects, Commerce Developers, Front-End Developers, Backend Developers, QA, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- Five or more years of overall software development experience.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in API development, microservices, middleware, backend development, or enterprise integration.
- Strong hands-on experience in backend, API, middleware, or enterprise integration development.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java/Spring Boot, .NET, or Node.js.
- Experience integrating applications with enterprise or backend systems.
- Understanding of JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, API integration patterns, and API authentication and authorization.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with API Gateway or API Management solutions, messaging or event-driven integration, Commerce/eCommerce platforms, and cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
