Base Salary
$189k - $390k/yr
Responsibilities
- Prototype state-of-the-art visual encoders for Pinterest's recommender systems.
- Experiment with billion-scale datasets using large-scale GPU computing.
- Build flexible visual reasoning tools like composed image retrieval and generative models.
- Participate in research discussions and contribute to the visual generative strategy.
- Collect visual instruction training data for various ML applications.
- Publish and share research findings through conferences and blog posts.
- Mentor junior researchers and interns within Pinterest Labs.
Requirements
- Experience building and training computer vision models.
- Strong preference for experience with multimodal representations and visual language modeling.
- Track record of research contributions or shipping ML models to production.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale model training and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-moving team.
- M.S. or PhD in Machine Learning or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Publications at top ML conferences are a plus.
- Experience using AI coding assistants like Cursor or Copilot is preferred.
