Base Salary
$235k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define progressive delivery and rollout standards across the engineering organization.
- Improve deployment safety, change reliability, and deployment confidence.
- Establish release operating principles and risk models.
- Standardize deployment verification and rollback patterns.
- Rationalize feature flag and data deployment practices.
- Partner with SRE to evolve release tooling and automation.
- Coach engineering teams on deployment discipline and operational readiness.
- Analyze deployment failures and drive systemic operational improvements.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Production Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related disciplines, including leading organization-wide operational excellence initiatives.
- Deep expertise operating and scaling distributed systems in cloud-native environments.
- Strong understanding of software delivery, production change management, and progressive delivery practices.
- Experience designing and implementing canary, blue-green, and rolling deployment strategies.
- Strong programming and automation skills in Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, observability platforms, and modern software delivery practices.
- Ability to influence engineering organizations and drive adoption of technical standards through leadership and collaboration.
- Strong systems thinking, operational judgment, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
