Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled software capabilities, MCP servers, agent-facing tools, and enterprise application integrations.
- Develop Python-based APIs, backend services, and integration layers with secure authentication, observability, and maintainable interface designs.
- Implement MCP tools and server capabilities that expose business functions, data access, and workflow automation to AI agents with access controls and guardrails.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, code quality checks, artifact management, deployments, and repeatable releases.
- Develop and deploy Azure-based cloud-native services using containerized workloads, secure configuration, logging, monitoring, and scalable runtime architectures.
- Lead moderate-sized technical efforts, contribute to architecture decisions, improve engineering standards, and document APIs, tools, deployment patterns, runbooks, and standards.
Requirements
- Hands-on Python development experience for applications, services, automation, or integration work.
- Proficiency with software engineering languages, practices, and modern programming stacks.
- Experience developing APIs with modern backend frameworks and secure service design patterns.
- Experience developing MCP servers or AI tools that expose structured tools, data access, or workflow automation to AI agents.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release automation.
- Strong understanding of code quality, modular design, version control, security, logging, monitoring, and documentation.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, data, AI, security, and business teams to deliver enterprise software solutions.
- Preferred experience with FastAPI, FastMCP, SQLAlchemy, containerized deployments, and cloud-hosted Python services.
- Preferred familiarity with Azure services, managed identity, Key Vault, Docker, private networking, and enterprise authentication patterns.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted development tools, prompt-aware workflows, agentic architectures, LLM application integration, LangGraph, and LangChain.
