Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, and lead an exceptional team of Forward Deployed Engineers.
- Build and ship customer solutions alongside the FDE team while remaining hands-on.
- Work directly with customers to understand workflows, needs, and difficult technical problems.
- Own technical engagements from idea through architecture, shipping, and iteration.
- Set technical standards through architecture decisions, code reviews, and hands-on engineering.
- Translate customer deployment insights into core product and platform improvements.
- Partner with other FDE leaders to establish standards, playbooks, and scalable global operating practices.
- Contribute to product strategy, technical decisions, and company culture.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience across software engineering, technical architecture, and customer-facing engineering.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
- A record of remaining deeply hands-on while leadership scope has grown.
- Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals across modern frontend and backend development.
- Strong architectural thinking and familiarity with distributed systems.
- Experience owning complex technical engagements end-to-end.
- Exceptional product intuition and ability to work directly with users.
- Ability to move between coding, architectural decisions, engineering leadership, and senior customer stakeholder engagement.
- High agency and comfort working in high-ambiguity, high-velocity environments.
- Bonus: experience building a team or technical function from zero.
- Bonus: experience with agentic AI systems or production LLMs.
- Bonus: experience leading zero-to-one product development or working in founding, early-stage, high-growth startup, big tech, consulting, or enterprise AI environments.
