Responsibilities
- Lead advanced forensic investigations into fraud, malware, unsafe advertising, and other security or traffic-quality risks.
- Analyze traffic, campaigns, domains, applications, partner signals, and other data sources to identify anomalous trends and systemic threat patterns.
- Drive mitigations for traffic-quality, policy, and security risks while improving detection and investigation methodologies.
- Use data analysis and AI-assisted techniques to connect signals across escalations and resolve complex issues end to end.
- Capture, analyze, and interpret security and platform events using forensic systems.
- Develop automation, tooling, services, and AI-driven workflows to improve investigation efficiency and scale.
- Conduct post-launch investigations and quality reviews for new features and high-risk scenarios.
- Own complex technical risk resolution through durable platform fixes and resilience improvements.
- Advise and influence engineering, business, and operations stakeholders on security, AI, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, data science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controls.
- 3+ years of experience with search, display, or native advertising, or in a technical organization, preferably involving a high-volume commercial website or service.
- 3+ years of experience analyzing data and using statistical software with large-scale datasets to identify patterns and anomalies.
- 3+ years of knowledge of ad fraud detection, cybersecurity, or online forensics techniques and tools, including investigation and mitigation of complex security risks.
- Experience with Python, C#, Java, or R for scripting, automation, and building scalable tools and services.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts and their use in fraud detection, anomaly detection, and investigation workflows.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, online tracking mechanisms, cookies, server-side tracking, and privacy-aware data signals.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, collaboration, communication, and customer-focus skills.
- Solid English speaking, reading, writing, presenting, documentation, and instruction skills are preferred.
- Availability for occasional night and weekend on-call work is preferred.
