
Principal Engineer, CSRE (Remote, United Kingdom)
TicketmasterResponsibilities
- Design, build, roll out, and support key infrastructure components across Ticketmaster’s estate.
- Build frameworks, libraries, and tools that improve developer productivity.
- Modernize legacy systems from characterizing existing behavior through shipping improvements.
- Design fault-tolerant, self-healing, scalable systems and components based on open standards.
- Evaluate, prototype, and benchmark new technical approaches.
- Define architecture and delivery strategy while ensuring high engineering standards.
- Improve incident handling, alerting, telemetry, and cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor and coach fellow engineers and provide engineering leadership.
- Make work visible and communicate delivered value clearly.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in at least one programming language and the ability to apply that expertise in other contexts.
- Exposure to strongly typed languages and functional programming.
- Ability to distinguish and articulate good versus bad software design.
- Systems-level design capability and experience working with complex legacy constraints.
- Openness to how LLMs and associated technologies are changing software engineering.
- Ability to manage relationships, handle expectations, collaborate across organizational levels, and work within a SAFe process.
- Strong listening, coaching, mentoring, problem ownership, and delivery skills.
