Responsibilities
- Validate BIOS, BMC, Root-of-Trust firmware, and related software components across multiple server product lines.
- Create, review, and continuously improve test cases and comprehensive test strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and architect automation frameworks, automated test suites, and test environments.
- Perform functional, regression, stress, performance, security, compliance, and interoperability testing.
- Analyze test results, conduct root-cause investigations, and collaborate on debugging, triage, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate milestones, deliver work on schedule, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of BIOS/BMC firmware testing or automation experience.
- Strong knowledge of BIOS, BMC, firmware validation, and x86 server architecture.
- Proficiency in Python, Robot Framework, and OpenBMC automation, including OpenBMC test cases and debugging.
- Experience maintaining automated test environments and familiarity with server hardware fundamentals.
- Experience with Bugzilla, Jira, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
- Understanding of IPMI, DMTF, Redfish, PLDM, SPDM, UEFI, PCIe, ACPI, OCP, TPM, and Root of Trust.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, or equivalent; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Server or embedded systems experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination skills.
