Responsibilities
- Develop and support multi-asset strategies involving portfolio optimization, monitoring, trade building, and trade routing.
- Build quality-control processing, monitoring, workflow, dashboard, reporting, and user-interface tools.
- Automate existing manual processes.
- Support overnight batch jobs.
- Own projects across analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with quantitative and fundamental research analysts, portfolio managers, investment teams, and developers.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 3 years of application development experience using Python.
- At least 2 years of experience programming SQL queries and stored procedures with Microsoft SQL Server.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting quantitative research.
- Proficiency with object-oriented design principles.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Interest in learning the investment implementation lifecycle and markets including equities, credit, rates, foreign exchange, and volatility.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with Dash for web-based dashboards, reports, and user interfaces.
- Experience with market data vendors such as Bloomberg.
- Experience with PnL and performance attribution reporting.
- Advanced Excel programming experience is a strong plus.
- MATLAB development experience is a plus.
- Finance-industry experience and curiosity about quantitative research are valued.
