Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, debug, document, deploy, and support enterprise-scale technology solutions.
- Develop and support scalable and secure data engineering solutions using PySpark and object storage.
- Build and maintain data processing, ETL/ELT, automation, forecasting, planning, and reporting capabilities.
- Lead moderately complex technical initiatives, projects, and deliverables, including upgrades and deployments.
- Troubleshoot technical and production issues, conduct root-cause resolution, and act as an escalation point.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, managers, engineering teams, analytics teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to less experienced staff, mentor engineers, and establish engineering best practices.
- Support implementation holistically and resolve day-to-day implementation challenges.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
- 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data engineering solutions using PySpark and object storage.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering is desired.
- Working experience in financial forecasting and planning is desired.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices in data engineering environments is desired.
- Strong SQL and Python proficiency and experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and automation solutions are desired.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause resolution is desired.
- Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data lakes, and data governance principles is desired.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and establishing engineering best practices is desired.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams are desired.
- Familiarity with multidimensional databases, particularly Essbase, is desired.
