Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud data solutions for risk, regulatory, finance, and compliance projects.
- Support the migration of data platforms and applications from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines and enable streaming data use cases.
- Partner with business, architecture, engineering, information analysis, and technology stakeholders to develop enterprise-grade data platforms.
- Integrate data from varied sources while ensuring data quality and accessibility standards.
- Provide technical guidance on technology implementations and architectural changes.
- Develop, test, and modify software for data platforms and applications.
- Own projects end to end, coordinating with business stakeholders, IT teams, data stewards, and third-party companies.
- Review core code changes and support production deployments.
- Provide indirect leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise applications, preferably in financial services and data-heavy systems.
- Strong experience with cloud solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure databases, Azure Functions, and Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of Python, Java, or similar high-level server-side languages.
- Advanced SQL knowledge with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud databases.
- Experience designing and architecting distributed systems, containerization, web APIs, and gateway management.
- Experience with the DevOps lifecycle, including Git and Jenkins.
- Experience configuring Databricks clusters and Unity Catalog repositories.
- Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines in Azure.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or information systems preferred.
