Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of a software product from requirements through production.
- Design and develop significant software applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Automate and improve continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines within a DevOps product or service team.
- Set engineering standards and define product change strategies aligned with agreed visions.
- Contribute code, review others’ code, and embed engineering best practices through reviews and automation.
- Ensure service resilience, sustainability, and recovery time objectives for delivered software solutions.
- Support production incidents, recovery activities, and cross-team retrospectives.
- Translate technical details into clear updates, options, business impacts, and decisions for senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing and developing significant software applications across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong experience with agile delivery, continuous delivery, and DevSecOps ways of working.
- Proven ability to automate CI/CD pipelines within a DevOps product or service team.
- Strong engineering discipline, including automated testing, code reviews, and performance optimization.
- Experience delivering service resilience and sustainability, including recovery time objectives.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area such as DevOps, security, accessibility, agile, or production governance.
- Ability to make sound technical debt judgments and articulate solution design trade-offs.
- Clear communication skills with engineering teams and senior management.
