Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Build and maintain platform services including databases, message brokers, caching systems, observability, monitoring, and secrets management.
- Develop internal self-service tooling for developers.
- Automate infrastructure and platform provisioning using infrastructure-as-code and GitOps approaches.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational simplicity.
- Own CI/CD systems and deployment workflows.
- Implement observability standards covering metrics, logs, and tracing.
- Lead incident response and postmortem improvements.
- Reduce cognitive load for application teams through automation and platform services.
Requirements
- 6 to 12 years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, stateful workloads, resource management, autoscaling, and Operators.
- Experience operating or building platform services such as databases, message brokers, and caching systems.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and GitOps workflows.
- Experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong debugging and incident-response skills.
- Production mindset and reliability-first thinking.
- Nice-to-have experience with Telco/BSS domains, internal developer platforms, multi-tenant Kubernetes environments, service mesh, security hardening and policy enforcement, cloud cost optimization, or multi-region and disaster-recovery architectures.
