Responsibilities
- Build web user interfaces for Octopart.com using TypeScript, React, and modern frameworks such as Next.js.
- Design and implement web services and manage server-side business logic.
- Design and interface APIs with backend engineers using schema-first or top-down approaches.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, data platform engineers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in full-stack web application development.
- Concrete UI development experience with TypeScript and advanced frontend experience with React; Next.js experience is a plus.
- Backend development experience with Node.js or other languages, with Go and Python highly preferred.
- Experience designing or interfacing web services using a top-down or schema-first approach; GraphQL experience is a plus.
- Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL, containerized development, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch is beneficial.
- Understanding of software design principles and patterns, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and clear communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate product ownership.
