Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack payment applications using Java/Spring, Angular, and Node.js.
- Build and operate Docker-containerized services deployed to AWS with Tomcat-based runtime environments.
- Support real-time payment services covering authorization, settlement, fraud screening, gift cards, and card issuance.
- Develop Splunk monitoring, alerting, and operational analytics for payment and fraud systems.
- Participate in production incident response, root cause analysis, remediation, and post-incident documentation.
- Implement PCI-DSS compliance across application code, logging, data handling, and infrastructure.
- Apply AI-assisted code review, test generation, refactoring, documentation, and safe AI/ML use cases.
- Investigate concurrency and performance issues in high-throughput payment services.
- Contribute to architecture, technical estimates, risk assessments, project sizing, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and pair programming.
- Collaborate with vendor teams, internal stakeholders, and engineers on complex integrations and technical initiatives.
- Contribute to test automation, software quality gates, security scanning, and deployment process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of design, architecture, and development experience with highly scalable, high-volume software components or client-facing web applications.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or an engineering field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Strongly preferred experience in payment processing, fintech, or financial services technology.
- Advanced experience with Java 17 or later, preferably Java 21, and the Spring Framework.
- Advanced experience with Angular 16 or later, preferably Angular 18, and Node.js 18 or later, preferably Node.js 20.
- Advanced experience with AWS services, Docker containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, cloud-native design patterns, and scalable full-stack application development.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Amazon Q.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML for fraud detection, anomaly detection, or payment optimization.
- Understanding of payment concepts including authorization, settlement, tokenization, PCI-DSS compliance, and card network mandates.
- Experience with Splunk or similar log analytics platforms for monitoring and incident investigation.
- Experience with Aurora/MySQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB, and Redis.
- Ability to support on-call production operations, tune performance, harden concurrency, and contribute to automated testing.
- Ability to create technical documentation and improve code quality, security scanning, and deployment practices.
- Ability to mentor and review less experienced engineers and work effectively with changing business needs.
