Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, debug, and troubleshoot high-volume business logic running on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture and optimize code to maintain and improve mainframe performance.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Develop scalable and robust software using sound architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and development experience with Java, Python, .NET, or similar technologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, Docker and Kubernetes containers, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Cloud certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred, and Kyndryl can support obtaining certifications.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
