Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java/J2EE web applications for Risk and Finance regulatory reporting workflows.
- Build and enhance dashboard front-end components using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, and AJAX.
- Contribute to architectural design discussions and resolve complex technical and design challenges.
- Review code quality, remediate defects, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Evaluate processing pipelines and recommend efficiency and performance improvements.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with technology partners and cross-functional teams on reconciliation processes and business requirements.
- Define and execute testing strategies, manage User Acceptance Testing, and provide post-implementation support.
- Lead weekly stakeholder status reviews, maintain issue logs, and follow up on action items.
- Provide inputs for bi-weekly steering committee updates covering project status, financials, and escalations.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement within the Agile delivery environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on enterprise-level Java development experience, with expert proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and J2EE.
- Expertise with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and the Cloudera ecosystem, including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and Impala.
- Strong proficiency with RESTful Web Services, XSD, JSON, and server-side integration patterns.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, and AJAX.
- Experience developing high-performance, multithreaded applications and a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and experience applying them to complex architectural and design challenges.
- Experience with WebSphere and WASND application servers.
- Familiarity with SVN and Bitbucket source code management tools.
- Strong data analysis skills with hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or compliance is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting, trade processing flows, and the regulatory impact of operational processing is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
