Responsibilities

  • Lead technical solution design and software delivery in alignment with domain architecture strategies.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support and help developers resolve technical challenges.
  • Review code and ensure solutions meet quality, security, and engineering standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical risks, dependencies, roadblocks, and delivery defects.
  • Embed effective development, testing, operations, automation, and deployment practices across the squad.
  • Support root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, release planning, change sequencing, and technical delivery decisions.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and maintain technical documentation, standards, and processes.
  • Mentor engineers and help improve technical capability across the team.

Requirements

  • Extensive software engineering experience, including previous leadership experience.
  • Domain knowledge in payments, settlements, and disputes.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and delivering software solutions.
  • Experience with development automation, CI/CD, test automation, DevOps practices, and modern deployment approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of scalability, performance, resilience, and disaster recovery.
  • Programming experience with Java or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud components.
  • Experience reviewing code and supporting developers and testers through design, build, and delivery.
  • Ability to identify delivery risks, sequence technical work, resolve roadblocks, and communicate complex technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
