Responsibilities
- Own the design, sequencing, delivery, and technical direction of Content Systems features.
- Make day-to-day architecture and technology decisions for the team’s services.
- Write production code and handle complex or high-risk technical work.
- Set engineering standards for code review, testing, CI/CD, performance, observability, and on-call practices.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and feedback.
- Partner with product, engineering, and legal experts to turn ideas into shipped features.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including time leading a team’s technical delivery.
- Strong backend engineering experience, preferably with .NET and C#, plus familiarity with TypeScript and React.
- Track record of shipping and operating production services.
- Strong understanding of API design, backend architecture, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including S3, SQS, Lambda, ECS, IAM, and SSM.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, PostgreSQL, database design, data modeling, and migrations.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical direction.
- Bonus experience with trunk-based delivery, LLMs and agents, event-driven architecture, observability tools such as Datadog, or LegalTech.
