Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, operation, and scaling of .NET and Python microservices and REST APIs for the Risk AI Platform.
- Drive architectural refactoring, modularisation, performance tuning, reliability improvements, and the transition from MVP to enterprise-grade systems.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through production coding, peer reviews, engineering standards, mentoring, and solution design guidance.
- Establish CI/CD golden paths, GitOps deployments, automated unit, integration, and performance testing, and progressive delivery.
- Implement observability and operability with dashboards, alerting, SLOs, SLIs, incident management, and production readiness reviews.
- Build and extend multi-agent architectures, conversational AI workflows, Rules-as-Code frameworks, and other agentic AI capabilities.
- Partner with Product Owners, Data Scientists, and platform teams to plan delivery, manage change risk, and deliver outcomes for risk operations.
- Apply secure coding, secrets management, identity and access controls, encryption, and technology-control and privacy processes.
- Consume producer-led data products and event streams including S3/Iceberg and Kafka without tightly coupling to storage layers.
Requirements
- Deep software engineering expertise in .NET and/or Python, including production microservices and APIs at scale.
- Experience with FastAPI and REST/OpenAPI contract design is highly valued.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LLM gateway or proxy patterns such as LiteLLM, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation or observability tooling such as Langfuse and HoneyHive.
- Experience with React, Next.js, and Node.js for production user interfaces and backend-for-frontend layers.
- Strong AWS experience including EKS/Kubernetes, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, ALB, and EC2, with high-availability designs across multiple availability zones.
- Hands-on CI/CD and GitOps experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Docker, Helm or Kustomize, and automated testing strategies.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, ELK/Obstack, SLOs/SLIs, production readiness reviews, and PagerDuty.
- Familiarity with PingSSO/OIDC, SailPoint, AWS Secrets Manager, secure coding, and identity and access management in regulated environments.
- Experience consuming Kafka event streams, S3/Iceberg data formats, and DynamoDB or other NoSQL data products.
- Strong architectural thinking, API contract design, integration-pattern knowledge, and the ability to make pragmatic speed-versus-sustainability trade-offs.
- Ability to lead without authority through code reviews, mentoring, technical direction, and engineering standards.
- Experience scaling systems from early stage to enterprise and a passion for applying AI to risk management and governance.
