Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, integrate, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance complex software applications.
- Gather requirements and prepare BRD/SRD documentation as needed.
- Write efficient, testable code and develop tests, test-automation suites, verification plans, and quality assurance procedures.
- Conduct code and test-plan reviews, participate in change-controlled deployments, and address technical debt and software currency.
- Apply security and privacy principles and resolve hardware, software, communications, and cross-platform interoperability issues.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers on shared team objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote reuse of existing functionality, and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Complete required training and use learning tools such as Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end software applications.
- Knowledge of C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript, application frameworks, containerization, and software development life cycle practices.
- Knowledge of cross-platform interoperability, platform toolkits, and resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions.
- Thorough knowledge of front-end and back-end development, software testing, quality assurance, and application support.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
