Base Salary

$136k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements analysis, architecture design, and development of scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-optimized solutions.
  • Design and develop next-generation Java clearing applications within established architecture and Agile frameworks.
  • Analyze requirements, write and review code, create unit and integration tests, document software, and maintain quality standards.
  • Mentor developers and collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Perform code reviews, application and project risk analysis, and recommend quality improvements.
  • Support production systems by advising on functionality and implementing fixes as needed.
  • Assist with departmental and new employee training and communicate software defects and delays to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar technical field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience building large-scale, compute-intensive and event-driven solutions.
  • Experience with Java 8 or later, including Java internals, object-oriented design, advanced patterns, and multithreading.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and migrations, with AWS foundational services preferred.
  • Experience with distributed message brokers and distributed computing frameworks is preferred or desirable.
  • Experience with relational, NoSQL, object-based, and graph databases.
  • Experience following Git workflows and working with DevOps tools.
  • Ability to achieve at least 90% unit and integration test coverage.
  • Experience integrating modeling libraries; risk analytics technology implementation experience is a plus.
  • OCP Java SE 8 Programmer and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, mentoring ability, intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate across functions.
