Base Salary
$141k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design services and develop production-quality features after peer review.
- Write primarily Java and Python code.
- Own critical features and subsystems across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification through deployment and customer usage.
- Manage service and feature operational needs, including telemetry and metrics for quickly identifying production issues.
- Own code quality through early developer testing and functional and integration testing.
- Partner with Product Management on requirements clarification, scoping, and finalization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least three years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
- Experience with Java or Python and REST API clients.
- Extensive API- or programming-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker containers is preferred or can be learned.
- Experience with Spring or a similar ecosystem, CloudFormation, Terraform, networking, security controls, and Gang of Four design patterns is beneficial or preferred.
- Ability and willingness to learn continuously, follow software development trends, and work collaboratively.
